Bahrain’s particularities are numerous: geographical, historical (the country was under British protectorate until its independence in 1971), political (unequal distribution of powers), geostrategic (base of the US Navy’s fifth fleet in Bahrain), socio-demographic (cultural metissage due to the high percentage of foreigners among the population including experts, qualified workers and/or manpower from Europe, America and Asia), economical (economical diversity), religious (diversity of cults), etc. …"
