Pontianak which is The Capital of West Kalimantan has a variety of Cultural heritage that is One of The Traditional Malay Clothes that come from The Malay Tribe of Pontianak This Research uses qualitative Research methods where using data collection techniques with Observation, Interview and Documentation The role of society in this case is very necessary to help preserve of Traditional Malay Clothes. Therefore, the need to awareness each themselves to participate. One of the strategies in this preserving of Traditional Malay Clothes is by using these traditional clothes on traditional events and cultural events and also the need for society approach. The role of the government in the form of developing the place of weavers of Kain Corak Insang and the enforcemnet of the regulation ini which every Friday and the big day, civil servants and the society must wear The Traditional Clothes.
