Kabupaten Ketapang has many tourist attractions. One of them is Hutan Kota tourist attraction. Strategy is needed from the government through Dinas Pariwisata and Dinas Kehutanan in developing attractions in the Kabupeten Ketapang, especially on the attractions Hutan Kota Ketapang as Ekotourism more interesting and enthused by the community. Type of research used in this research is descriptive by using qualitative approach. Technique of collecting data in this research with observation (observation), interview, and documentation. The results showed that one of the efforts made by Dinas Pariwisata dan Dinas Kehutanan is to maximize the development of Hutan Kota Ketapang tourism object which made as modern tourism by doing development such as nature tourism, adventure tourism, environmental rides, and education of flora and fauna. In general, the results show that Perhutani Perhutani has maximized possible efforts to develop the Hutan Kota Ketapang tourism object. Society also plays an important role for the development of Hutan Kota Ketapang. The community participation of Hutan Kota Ketapang area is realized in the form of participation and participation on tourism socialization.
