This article deals with trade union communication, specifically among rural workers in the sugar cane area of Pernambuco during the period of the military dictatorship. Efforts to promote participation, organization, and the struggle for rights employed various media: radio programs, newspapers, pamphlets, shows, etc., to foster education and to disseminate information about their purposes, all of fundamental importance to the trade union movement.
