Deskripsi

We propose a novel method for the deterministic formation and manipulation of a single cavity soliton (CS) in anomalous dispersion microresonators via parametric seeding. Our numerical simulations demonstrate that, through choosing a proper power, a seed signal which is one free-spectral range (FSR) away from the pump can induce a deterministic transition from multiple CSs to a single CS regardless of the initial noise. Once the single CS state is reached, its temporal position can be manipulated flexibly by changing the intensity, frequency, and initial phase of the seed signal. Our findings provide significant insight into on-chip ultrashort pulse formation and optical information processing.
