Patients with corona virus disease 2019(COVID-19) mainly have fever, cough and other respiratory symptoms, but it is necessary to be aware that some patients are complicated by digestive symptoms, such as diarrhea, nausea and vomiting, and even a few patients show atypical symptoms such as diarrhea as the first presentation. This article reviews the mechanism of SARS-CoV-2 infection with digestive tract symptoms,change of intestinal microbiota, therapeutic drugs, psychosocial factors, cytokine storm and aggravation of primary underlying diseases, etc., so as to sharpen clinicians vigilance against COVID-19 patients with digestive system symptoms, and provide theoretical basis for corresponding treatment.
