Deskripsi

One of the outstanding themes which articulated by La Galatea de Cervantes is given by the literary treatment of music, which will acquire its maximum development in the different poetic-narrative dialogues maintained by Silerio with the rest of the characters. In fact, its history develops between the verbal dialogue and the melodic phrasing, with a notorious presence of the silence, according to its symbolic name. Also, his progressive sentimental itinerary is in correspondence with other adventures along the plot in relation to amorous disappointments. The present study is dedicated, therefore, to analyze the different levels and sound environments in which Silerio develops his dialogue not only poetic-narrative but also musical, as a vital introspective rhythm. In the same way, from the analysis of his poetic-narrative interventions, we will focus finally our attention on the different formalizations of this hybrid genre, between poetry and narrative, musical voice and word, identifiable in aesthetic thinking of Cervantes.
