The present work has as main objective to estimate the reflectance of Pantanal’s microsystems using Landsat 5 Thematic Mapper (TM) images. To obtain the albedo values and visible and near/mid infra-red reflectances, the formula proposed by LIANG (2000) was used. For evaluating the method utilized, the results of the digital number transformation in reflectance and albedo were confronted with the ground measurements performed in the field using a piranometer CM5 and net radiometer CNR1 of the Kipp&Zonen and quantum LI-190SA of the Licor Incorporation. It was verified significant differences of albedo and reflectance values in the flood and dry periods for the region of Passo do Lontra - Corumbá – Mato Grosso do Sul. These differences can vary from 2 to 5% for albedo, from 1 to 3% for visible reflectance and from 4 to 9% for near and middle infrared reflectances.
