This reserch article deals with the first ever complete english traslation of Diwan-e-Ghalib by Dr. Yousaf Hussain Kahn . This translation was published with the name of Urdu Ghazals of Ghalib by Ghalib institute, New Delhi in 1977. This book is very much significant due to the fact that, the first ever complete translation of Mirza Ghalibs Mutadawal Diwan and number of renderings from Nuskha-e-Hamidia, Bayaz-e-jAllai and Urdu-e-Mualla etc. The present Article in an Analytic study of Urdu ghazals of Ghalib. Yousaf Hussain khan is seemed to be successful in transmitting the meaning but fails to maintain the real and faitful impact of ghalibs poetry.
