This study focused on the extraction of the essential oil and extract from star anise (Illicium verum Hook.f.) and the evaluation of the physicochemical properties and bioactivities of these products. This study was conducted by 'one factor at a time' method on the factors affecting on the extraction yield of essential oil and the antioxidant activity of the extract.
