With the development of technology and the continuous operation of direct current transmission projects， condensers with large-capacity are gradually used in converter stations. Due to the variety of grid connection modes of the condenser connected to the converter station and the operation characteristics of the condenser， it is special in the system relay protection configuration， the parameter selection of current transformer， the monitoring system scheme and the interface design. Based on the previous engineering experience and the engineering practice of the converter station construction， this paper analyzes the key problems of secondary system design for the condenser connected to the converter station. This paper puts forward the general principles of the design of secondary system， the system relay protection configuration and typical design schemes under different main wiring modes，and the co-construction scheme of the monitoring and control system， as well as the interface problems that need to be focused on， which provides technical references for the engineering design of the condenser project in the future.
