Autoreferential strategies have always been part of the Disney world. In the last few years, these strategies have evolved drastically and been more and more numerous. A new type of Disney movies called live action remakes have been released in theatres: they are remakes of animation classics like Cinderella or The Beauty and the Beast turned into live action films. In this presentation we will focus on this phenomenon.
