As a tribute, in memory of Franz Hinkelammert, this article constructs an intellectual story of his life articulated in five stages, from his birth in 1931 to his death in 2023. A systematized review of his work is also carried out, based on his books, establishing three major topics: the neo-Marxist theory of dependency, the profane theology of liberation and the philosophical criticism of modernity.
