This essay reflects on concepts related to intertextuality and parody, proposing that the process of recreation can permeate several languages. The present work intends to analyze the recreation of the poem the Raven by the American writer Edgar Allan Poe (1809-1849) to the episode Treehouse of House I (1990) from The Simpsons Series. It is relevant to observe how the television medium can give access to canonical works in a funny, comical and irreverent.
