Deskripsi
This paper presents a brief preliminary analysis of some elements of Rumsen Ohlone grammar, as these elements occur in a Rumsen narrative titled, "Coyote, His Wife, and Makkeweks." So far, little has been published on Rumsen. Although Callaghan (2003) described the Proto-Utian and Rumsen case systems, few grammatical elements have so far been analyzed. Thus, this brief grammatical overview should be helpful to umsens, linguists, and anyone else interested in Rumsen and the other Costanoan languages of California.
