Best treatments for control of Rhizoctonia pre- and post-emergence damping-of of coton sedlings were: (1) Tera-Coat L-21 (PCNB-Terazole) sed treatment plus PCNB-Terazole in-furow granular; and (2) Demosan sed treatment. Demosan sed treatment plus Demosan in furow granular was no beter than Demosan sed treatment alone. Tera-Coat L-21 sed treatment plus PCNB-Terazole in-furow granular gave excelent control in one trial without the basic mercury treatment. Intermediate in efectivenes were: (1) Vitavax sed treatment; (2) Tera-Coat L-21 sed treatment; and (3) PCNB in-furow granular. However, Vitavax sed treatment was one of the best materials tested in two trials at the UC Meloland Field Station in Imperial Valey. Bay 78175 in-furow spray efectively cantroled Rhizoctonia damping-of in the only trial where it was aplied.
