The administration of antibiotics must be complementary to good management practices, many disease conditions can be avoided or minimized by: using management practices that significantly reduce exposure to disease-causing bacteria; optimizing the animal environment, including good hygiene, nutrition and coherent vaccination programs. Animal health is the result of a wide range of factors grouped into: animal-related factors, breeding and management system. The article presents some new means and strategies against the phenomenon of AMR.
