In the study, it is aimed to reveal the suitability of ergonomic standards of urban equipment elements in the recreational areas located in the coastal area of Karamürsel district (Kocaeli) by making measurements and examinations. In the study, urban equipment elements in recreational areas on the 12,04 km long coastal band of Karamürsel district were examined. The method introduced by Gülgün and Altuğ (2006) was developed and used according to the area, and the area was scored between 1-5. Scoring was determined according to the measurements and examinations. In the light of the data obtained, the percentage success in the applications of coastal band urban reinforcement elements of Karamürsel district was determined. As a result, it was determined as "successful" at the rate of 66% in terms of ergonomics criteria of urban reinforcement elements, but the ergonomic aspect of coastal area urban equipment elements should be improved.
