The title compound, C10H14N4O6, crystallizes with two independent molecules in the asymmetric unit. An extensive network of N—H...O and C—H...O intermolecular hydrogen bonds stabilizes the crystal packing. One ethyl group is disordered over two positions; the site occupancy factors are 0.68 and 0.32.
