Non-Hodgkin lymphoma of the sinonasal region: a case report

Primary extranodal non-Hodgkin lymphoma of the sinonasal region is rarely seen. This tumor includes maxillary sinus, ethmoid sinus and nasal cavity the most. Nasal obstruction is the main symptom. Although radiological techniques are beneficial, biopsy is necessary in the diagnosis. Combination of radiotherapy and chemotherapy is the best method for the treatment of this tumor. A 72-year-old woman presented to our clinic with complaint of swelling of the face and palate and nasal obstruction. Computed tomography revealed malign mass which invaded the left maxillary sinus and destructed of the bilateral anteromedial part of the maxillary bone, left lacrimal duct, bilateral inferior concha and left middle concha. Biopsy was performed from the left maxillary region and was resulted as large diffuse B cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Combination of radiotherapy and chemotherapy was performed and the patient was called follow up.
