β and γ vibrations in the IBM

Deskripsi
The properties of β- and γ-bands are analyzed in the framework of the IBM. It is shown that the general features of the observed excitation energies and the transition probabilities to the ground state band can be explained simply in terms of the intrinsic states of the IBM.
