INTRODUCTION Blood donation is an extremely important part of hospital work. One unit of blood donated can save a life hence hospitals lay stress on holding blood donation camps and encourage voluntary blood donation. Blood donation societies worldwide are encouraging 100% non-remunerated, voluntary blood donation to low-risk populations to fight the lack of blood components and prevent transfusion-transmitted diseases. The authors devised a survey with the intention of investigating awareness.
