Lexical richness and expressive peculiarity are connected to Vesna Parun’s poetics (1922-2010) from the very beginning of her poetic opus. In analyzing a part of her poetic opus this paper is focused on the lexical component. Lexical complexity, diversity and density are determined and analyzed on the example of the collection Sonetni vijenci (1991) while presence of certain lexemes is connected to basic motives of her opus. Presence of certain types and forms of words is observed in the framework of peculiarities of the author’s language, style as well as literary and artistic style. Meaning of certain lexemes and meaning relations between lexemes are also studied in the paper.
