Extrahepatic hepatoblastoma- an extremely rare occurrence

6 year old presented with hard non tender mass in epigastric region. On radiological examination a well defined mass was seen in the lesser sac without the liver involvement. On histopathological evaluation by trucut biopsy, diagnosis of extrahepatic hepatoblastoma was made. The boy underwent 4 cycles of neoadjuvant chemotherapy which caused the tumor to shrink by 40%. The patient underwent resection of tumor without any complications. The post-operative histopathology also revealed Hepatoblastoma (Fetal type). The patient underwent post operative chemotherapy and has an event free survival of 6 months till now.We present this case, as to the best of our knowledge; this is a rare case of isolated hepatoblastoma arising from extrahepatic tissue.
