This scientific paper is result of a study aimed at systematically think on Geography teaching in Technical Schools integrated high school in the region of Chapecó, SC. The Methodological procedures involved, mainly, application of questionnaires with students and semi-structured interviews with teachers. The raised details directed readings, thoughts and discussions about the perspective education, work and Geography teaching. Thus, in interdisciplinary dialogue established itself with authors who will be focused in this scientific paper, most importantly, about the historical dichotomy that exists between intellectual formation and formation to the world of work, some dilemmas, developments and challenges to the Geography teaching.
