This article is conceived as a mini-course designed as an update and application for veterinarians practicing, the main aspects of antimicrobial resistance being revealed. As selected bibliographic sources, when writing this article, passages from the courses posted by the first author on the resources of the net on this topic were cited in full or in part. The first article introduces the reader in the topic of anti-infective resistance, with the presentation of the main data related to: the definition of the phenomenon, the evolution, and classification of the anti-infective group (antibiotics, sulfamide, antifungals).
