Highlights Dengue virus-like particles for serotype 1 and serotype 4 (DENV-LPs/1 and DENV-LPs/4) were produced in silkworm. Heparin-binding assay by ELISA and ITC showed that DENV-LPs/1 and DENV-LPs/4 contain Envelope Domain III. DENV-LPs/1 and DENV-LPs/4 showed affinity to sera from human dengue patients and immunized mice.
