From recent works highlighting the tragic elements of Hannah Arendt's thought, we seek to show that Nietzsche's reflection on nihilism plays a relevant role in Arendt's critique of the tradition of political philosophy. Next, we analyze two characteristics of the tradition which for Arendt would be particularly harmful to politics: the tyranny of truth and the excess of the Good.
