NLRP3 inflammatsome is the most characteristic inflammasome. It can play some roles in the pathogenesis of heart diseases such as heart failure, myocardial infarction, atherosclerosis and arrhythmia. Inhibiting the activation of NLRP3 inflammasome can effectively treat heart diseases. The assembly and activation process of inflammasome are complex. Revealing its activation process and its relationship with heart disease may develop new drugs targeting at the prevention and treatment of heart disease.
