Deskripsi
Cancer immunotherapy, such as cancer vaccines and checkpoint blockades, has emerged as a promising cancer therapy in battling cancer, and revolutionized the field of cancer therapy. However, due to the low immune response, the clinical applications of immunotherapy have been greatly limited. As a classical category of anti-cancer drugs, metal and their complexes-based nanomedicine have already been extensively studied, and investigated as potential tools to enhance the anti-tumor immune response, in which they can reverse the immunosuppression without inducing toxicity or side effects. In this review, we summarize the-state-of-art metallic nanomedicine to enhance the efficacy of cancer immunotherapy. In the end, the obstacles and remaining challenges for metal-based nanomedicine are also summarized.
