GIS Techniques for Assessing the Link between Human Accessibility and Territorial Distribution of the Population in Hunedoara County. The accessibility of an area has a very important role in the territorial distribution of the population in an area. In the present study, in order to determine the human accessibility index, some physical-geographical factors were taken into account. A link between accessibility and population density was established, based on data and maps obtained using GIS techniques. These links match or differentiate, depending on the area of analysis.
