Most of the enterprise operations require information from several systems within and outside the enterprise(s). The past few years have seen explosive growth in direct program to program interaction for application integration, removing manual steps yielding tremendous improvements in reliability and efficiency. This paper addresses the practical approach for the design and implementation of Enterprise Application Integration in a heterogeneous environment with SAP NetWeaver Platform (i.e. Exchange Infrastructure (XI)/Process Integration (PI)) using a Customizable Tool named TEmplate based Functional Requirements for Integration Design (TEFRID) developed by the author(s) to improve the Quality of Service (QoS) and reduce the development time and cost with the end-to-end scenario development.
