This paper introduces the application of gamma logging system while drilling based on wireless electromagnetic wave transmission in controlled drilling of gas pre-drainage borehole along coal seam, and the analytic process includes the composition, working principle and application of the system. The system is applied in Bofang Coal Mine, the results show that the system can meet the actual production requirements of measurement while drilling, ensure drilling along coal seam, effectively improve drilling efficiency and reduce construction cost.
