Deskripsi
This study aims at exploring the relationship between political behavior and job innovation. For this purpose, 220 subjects were randomly selected among 1000 employees of ShahidBeheshtiUniversity. To measure the variables, the standard questionnaire of job innovation of Martin Patchen (1965) and the political behavior questionnaire of A.J. Dobrin (1978) were used. Based on research analysis the main hypothesis assuming the relationship between job innovation and the tendency toward political behavior was accepted. The findings indicated a meaningful and negative relationship between job innovation and the tendency toward political behavior meaning that as the tendency toward political behavior increases, job innovation decreases. The analysis of the secondary hypotheses reveals that there is a negative relationship between job innovation and flattery, political application of information, the creation of moral obligation, and association with influential individuals. But there is no relationship between job innovation and imagery (creating a favorable image of self), and establishing a supporting base. Furthermore, there is a significant and negative relationship between job innovation and age. Women are more innovative in their jobs than men.
