The paper starts from the characteristics of the European Corridor 7 through the geographical and demographic dimension, both in general and in the part relating to Serbia. The geographical and demographic dimensions of the Danube River and the Danube basin countries will be analyzed, from the aspect related to the security of the Republic of Serbia will also be analyzed. The aim of the paper is to point out the security problems (challenges, risks and threats) that arise or may arise in the near and far future by passing the European Corridor 7 through our country. In addition to the security problems defined by the National Security Strategy, the security problems identified by the European Union Strategy for the Danube Region (synonym: European Corridor 7) were also analyzed.
