Deskripsi

Auricular perichondritis refers to the inflammation of perichondrium. Common causes include trauma and ear piercing. Pseudomonas aeruginosa is the most described pathogen followed by Staphylococcus aureus. We describe a case of auricular perichondritis caused by Aspergillus flavus after post-aural myringoplasty. Aspergillus is a frequent pathogen in otomycosis and chronic otitis externa, but is not a common cause of auricular perichondritis.
