We present the case of a primary lung melanoma in a 73-year-old man. The diagnosis was finally obtained after the surgical removal of the lung mass and after having reasonably ruled out the existence of malignant melanoma at any other level. It is a really rare entity, accounting for 0.01% of malignant lung tumors.
