Comparative studies in music teacher training (MTT) carried out in Europe in the last few years highlight the problems in Spain, in particular the case of MTT for secondary schools. Instead of solving the current situation, the Bologna Process has just contributed to distancing ourselves from Europe. So this study shows the fallacy of the expression “European convergence” in the case of MTT and suggests a palliative solution within the framework of the new B.A. in Musicology creating a new qualification for Pedagogy of Music and Music Didactics.
