Deskripsi
Between 1276 and 1343, the independent Majorcan dynasty implemented a significant building programme on the island. The kingdom was territorially disintegrated, and the kings established an impressive network of palaces. Although they mostly resided in the palace of Perpignan, they did not overlook the Majorcan residences: the castles of La Almudaina and Bellver, and the so-called houses or palaces in Sineu, Manacor and Valldemosa. Although the sources are limited, we can gain insight into the structure and disposition of the spaces of an ephemeral dynasty and its gradual decline in the 15th and 16th centuries through the orders of the kings to prepare their rooms, the works carried out in different places, and the orderly ceremonial that appears in the Leges Palatinae.
