Problems related to the standardization and communication of archaeological information were addressed long before the “digital era”. From 1972 to 1987, they interested the authors of the Dialektikê journal. This paper presents the technical choices made for the online diffusion of this journal. Its rediscovery contributes to the recent history of archaeology, about the relationship between French and English-speaking approaches, and about the relationship between scientific and political practices.
