Deskripsi

This paper is part of the thesis work for the Mastery in Environment and Development. It aims to show the main postulates which are the result of the current research, through the approaches of Behavioral Economics and the Theories of Motivation; it is firstly intended to determine the main factors why people use water and subsequently, which motivations would lead them to save water or to have behaviors that make them reduce the high current water consumption. Being one of the responsibilities of society with future generations and the environment. This research is pioneer in the State of Antioquia and one of the first in Colombia, because the Behavioral Economics is barely starting to be integrated into the study of the natural resources especially that of water, and it shows how the different scientific disciplines are articulated and how they interact with the societal systems to achieve the goals which contribute to the country ́s development.
