By comparing the two editions of the Piquer's "Logica", 1747 and 1771, (with the logical exception of the third posthumous edition, Joachin !barra, Impresor de Cámara de S.M, Madrid, 1781 ), this article shows the possible structure of a scientijical-philosophical method of investigation than can be properly called "moderno" because his relationships with another coetaneus methods in Europe. In other respects, the lacks and insufficiences concernig this method-that strongly helps to understand the XVIII Century's spanish thought- are analysed Therefore, the doctor Andrés Piquer Arrufat appears as one of the most important authors in the general setting of the controversy about the Spanish Ilustración.
