The study of Archaeology in the content of Islamic Sharia could be categorized into two: Firstly the Sacred ones and secondly the Condemned ones. The later includes individuals like Phirohn’s dead body or sites such as destroyed city of nation of Samood. An investigation of Sharia reveals that one could find instructions about these two kinds of archaeological sites but there are various other types of ancient historical sites and artifacts which have neither been discussed nor explored in Islamic discourse as the above mentioned two types discussed. This article is an attempt to divert the attention of scholars on this particular issue. This article not only categorized the different kinds of archaeological record but it had deduced instructions from Sharia Law about the preservation of such record.
