An analysis of the morphology of <em>Parmena solieri</em> Mulsant, 1839, based on specimens from Provence (including the lectotype), Liguria, Sardinia, the Tuscan Archipelago (including the type series of<em> P. solieri lanzai</em> Sama, 1985) and Corsica, establishes the new synonymy <em>Parmena</em> <em>solieri</em> <em>lanzai</em> Sama, 1985 = <em>Parmena</em> <em>solieri</em> Mulsant, 1839, syn. n.
