The aim of the study is to calculate flood discharge of 8 rivers, which are selected from Istanbul. An evaluation of hydrological techniques which are Snyder, Kirpich, Mockus and S.C.S. for making flood estimations have been applied these 8 rivers. Calculated flood discharges are compared with each other for determine the best methods for estimation of flood discharge.
