Aiming at railway products with high complexity of parameter features, a method for identifying key influencing factors of railway product testing based on random forest (RF) and sequential forward selection (SFS) algorithm is proposed to assist the identification method according to experience. Based on the test data of railway tunnel water-proof slab from 2007 to 2020, a RF model is established, and the critical score sequence of the factors affecting the test result of railway tunnel water-proof slab is obtained. Subsequently, SFS method is used to obtain the top 6 influencing factors in the sequence as key features.
