RESEARCH CONCERNING THE BEHAVIOR OF SEVERAL PIONEER CORN HYBRIDS IN VARIED PEDOCLIMATIC CONDITIONS FROM CLUJ COUNTY AREA The paper presents the research results of the made at 11 Pioneer corn hybrids and statistic analyze of the production obtained in 15 micro plots in Cluj area, in the period 2002-2005. Through natural conditions bonity we were able to determine a production potential of 4.576-4.992 kg/ha in Plain Transylvanian, 4.160-4.680 kg/ha in Plateau Somes and 3.224-3.848 kg/ha in Depression Huedin. Starting from these natural conditions, the potential hybrid and applied technology are a determinant factor for the obtained production level. Statistic analyze of the productions obtained at Pioneer corn hybrids shows an average production, during research period of 8.718 kg/ha in Plain Transylvanian, the best adapted being PR38A24 hybrid (9.846 kg/ha), followed by Monalisa hybrid with 9.525 kg/ha. In Plateau Somes the average production achieved is of 9.145 kg/ha, PR39D81 hybrid being the best adapted with an average production of 9.878 kg/ha. In Depression Huedin the average production achieved was of 6.231 kg/ha.
