Unlike many of its neighbors, Morocco has not been destabilized by Arab Spring nor has been under relevant pressure from jihadist terrorism groups. Such singularities have made Rabat a preferential partner for Regional International Organizations and ad hoc Cooperation on global security. In fact, the Kingdom has been strengthening its bilateral security ties with EU and it is a partner of the NATO among other security initiatives. This paper will analyze the regional security partnerships and frameworks in which Morocco participates with a focus on its strengths and weaknesses.
