With the purpose of identifying determinants of participation choice in rice farming insurance, this study analyzed face-to-face survey data with logistic regression from 100 rice farming households in Can Duoc District, Long An Province. Some findings are drawn from the results.First,households with high concern on insurance fee or abundant farming dependants tend to participate in the insurance more than households with low concern or fewdependants. Second, households with largeand productivefarming fieldor experienced households are less willing to participate. Third, other household characteristics such as age and gender of the household headare not found to affect the decision statistically.
