Therefore, patients with COVID-19 should be fully recovered before elective surgery and a minimum of 7 weeks recovery time is routinely recommen-ded. At the same time, the occurrence of adverse outcomes such as postoperative complications in patients with COVID-19 should be considered in a multidimensional manner, taking into account the related risk factors such as age, severity of the disease, type of surgery, anesthesia method, underlying comorbidities, type of viral strain, vaccination status and other related risk factors.
